POSTED BY
Linda

Award-winning travel writer Marybeth Bond, author of “The Gutsy Traveler,” says: “I am repeatedly asked how I deal with cash, credit cards and debit cards when I travel.” So, on her Website by the same name, she offers her top 5 tips for  handling money intelligently while traveling. They include using plastic whenever possible, and forgetting about traveler’s checks. Use ATMs when you can for cash. And always have some cash on hand for emergencies (like power outages, when credit and debit cards and ATMs may not work) And don’t forget to notify your card company that you will be  traveling! She offers details on each of these pieces of advice, and it’s well worth reading before you hit the road (or air) this summer. To read the full story, CLICK HERE.
