State Parks Pass Saves Money for Folks Who Go Exploring

POSTED BY
Linda

Give yourself a “green” gift or give one to the hiker, mountain biker, fisherman (or woman), camper or other outdoors-lover in your life. Buy a Colorado State Parks Pass! It’s a great deal, says Deb Frazier of Colorado State Parks. For one thing, it’s $7 per car now to enter a state park (and there are 42 of them all over Colorado). The annual pass costs $70, but if you visit a park even one day a month, that’s immediately a savings of $14. The more you go, the more you save. And the pass is good for everyone in the vehicle. If you stay two days at a park (say overnight, for camping) that normally would cost $14. You see how it works? Passes are valid for 12 months from the month of purchase date. There’s a discount for seniors. The  Aspen Leaf Pass offers a $10 discount, at  $60 per vehicle (for Colorado residents 64 years or older). The Aspen Leaf Pass is available for purchase at any time of year and is valid for 12 months from date of purchase, also.  Folks born prior to 1922 get a FREE Aspen Leaf Pass.  To apply for one, go ONLINE.
