Gardening in the Pikes Peak Region is challenging. When you’ve got questions, Colorado Master Gardeners have answers. CMG volunteers help residents save time and money by providing research-based solutions to landscape and gardening problems. Throughout the 2015 growing season, the Master Gardener Help Desk hours will be Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Residents can call and leave a message any time at (719) 520-7684. Photos are often very helpful and can be attached to an email and sent to: CSUmg2@elpasoco.com. Residents can also bring in samples to the Colorado State University Extension office at 17 N. Spruce St. For grass samples, CMGs need to see a shoebox size of half-dead/half-alive turf. For trees or shrubs, an 18” piece of half-dead and half-alive is needed. For online help, visit https://ask.extension.org/. The service is FREE.
