Wastewater pipes don’t digest fat, oil and grease (FOG) as easily as you do. After holiday gatherings, discard fat, oil and grease into the trash, not the sink or garbage disposal. FOG buildup is problematic, especially during the holiday season when meals are larger and higher in fat content, and it could carry an unfortunate expense. Customer wastewater service line responsibility is from your home up to and including the connection to the main sewer line. The best way to avoid grease build up and to prevent damage is to not dispose FOG into the sewer. Save yourself a big headache and lots of money by disposing of FOG properly. Otherwise, you cold have a wastewter backup in your home, the cost of a plumber and possibly even replacing your service line. Watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4sZO011AJI.
