To guide future public art activities and address its current and future art collection, the City has begun the process of creating its first public art master plan. One of the first steps in this process is collecting input from residents to better understand attitudes and aspirations for a public art program in Colorado Springs.
An online survey is currently available for residents to provide feedback at coloradosprings.granicusideas.com/surveys/publicartcos-community-questionnaire. Additionally, a number of interviews, focus groups and events to encourage discussion and input will be held in the next few months to collect feedback.
The public process is expected to last through the summer and into fall 2019. In November, the process will culminate in a citywide plan for the future of public art.
More information about the project can be found at coloradosprings.gov/publicartcos.
